Last hundred years Split is also sportiest town in CROATIA with plenty of champions in almost all sports. One of the oldiest Classic & Sports Car Clubs is established like MG Car Club - Dalmatia Centre, today is renamed in SPLIT Classic Car Club, see web page: http://www.lulu.hr/?file=kop1.php. DALMATIA is perfect place for enjoying in beautyful nature and several National Parcs, also is ideal for Classic Car meetings in all seasons with plenty of interesting itineraryes through country , coast or islands. DALMATIA is one of the historic Romans regions also famous because the imperator DIOCLETIAN was born here and he decided build for himself in his homeland beautiful palace, today it is center of the city of SPLIT. Near to SPLIT is also famous SALONA, Roman´s important strategic point in land of ILIRIC. Between airport and city of SPLIT laying seven middle Ages castels, in fact all surroundings is extremly interesting for a visitors.

After twelve years of ownership and several unforgetable MG meetings under organisation MG Car Club Dalmatia Centre, un fortunate, I decide to sold my MG, on the last year of the National Liberation War 1994.
Also, today don´t exist any more, MG Car Club Dalmatia Centre, in fact it is converted in to SPLIT Oldtimer Auto Club.

Today I owned Hillman Rootes Hunter mk.II year 1967. 
body no. BO52015575 - 108LSO
engine no. HPSS415606
in original condition, even paint is original, never resprayed.
When I buyed Hillman before ten years, car was in bad mechanical condition, today is mechanicaly strait, but need lightly  restauration interior new upholstery, floor mats and exterior work on minor rost and respraying to bee perfect.
Hillman Rootes engine 1725cc with aluminium head, runs great after 135.000 km

HOLBAY  H 120 E - Racing engine
The Hillman Hunter GLS and Sumbeam Rapier H 120 was the first production Rootes car to use  Holbay developed 1725 cc engine although it was the engine used in the " London to Sidney " Hillman Hunter and many other competition engines based on the same block with diferent  crankshaft & cylider capacity, head & rocker shaft, valve sizes, inlet manifold and carburator variations. Some of the F3 engines was based on the five bearing H 120E block. Holbay racing engine similar F3 spetifications with twin DD Weber and 1600cc capacity is on the photo below: 

Power quoted as 157 bhp at 8400 rpm, maximum 8600 rpm
